China’s leading steelmaker, Baosteel said recently that the company aims to produce 44.75 million tons of crude steel in 2010, and it expects a RMB15 billion (US$2.2 billion) profit in 2010.
In the report, Baosteel shows its output targets of pig iron, crude steel and steel billets respectively as 40.05 million tons, 44.75 million tons and 43.49 million tons. And the company expects a gross revenue of RMB220 billion (US$32.2 billion) in this year.
As the largest steelmaker in China, Baosteel made a RMB14.5 billion (US$2.1 billion) profit in 2009, which is the best among Chinese steelmakers.
