Due to the tight supply, European scrap prices have gone up resulting in limited orders that offers are higher than last December's.
According to orders made by Turkish mills, shredded scrap were settled at US$300/ton which is US$20/ton higher than in the previous month.
Prices offered by European traders are even higher that is over US$302/ton. HMS No.1 and No.2 scrap have been up to between US$275-282/ton from US$287-292/ton since the new year.
